The 8th Flixton (St John's) Scout Group is based at the Scout Hut in Woodsend Crescent Road, Flixton M41 8AD.
Our section meetings are as follows:
Beavers – Tuesday 6pm until 7.15pm. For both boys and girls age 6 to 8 years old.
Cubs – Wednesday 6pm until 7.30pm. For both boys and girls age 8 to 10 years old.
Scouts – Monday 6.30pm until 8pm. For both boys and girls age 10 to 14 years old.
Explorers – Tuesday 7.30pm until 9pm. For young people age 14 to 18 years old.
All sections have an exciting, planned and varied programme, full of activities which include the following: fun, games, craft making, camping, hiking, archery, orienteering, pioneering, caving, challenges and team building. We encourage all our children and young people to reach their full potential physically, socially and emotionally whilst being part of the 8th Flixton family.
We provide the opportunity to do the Duke of Edinburgh Award, both Bronze and Gold Levels, via our Explorer Unit. We also operate the Young Leader Scheme in conjunction with our District Explorer Young Leader Unit. This provides training and support for our Young Leaders, the people we consider to be the leaders of the future.
